"There is no such thing as magic."
They said these words to my face.
And they said it with such a straight face too!
Like they actually believed what they were saying!
I feel sorry for these pitiful souls.
These poor...raptured souls.
Almost six or seven years ago *they* believed in magic.
So what happened?
Whatever it was that convinced them otherwise,
It must've been terrible.
Terrible and Evil.
I hate Evil.
Evil has stripped the magic out of so many people!
But not from me.
No,
I intend to keep this gift I was so boldly given!
I intend to make use of it, protect it, give it a purpose, and possibly heal others with MY magic.
Try your hardest Evil!
Lock me in a dark, damp, dull cell,
Isolate me from my world!
But I shall never give up my gold!
"There is no such thing as magic," they say to my face.
I look them in the eye and declare "I see some in you."

Where She's Not
She's not at the bottom of my cereal bowl
But I'll eat it all the same
Just because I get to think of her
And the way she smelled of sugar
She's not between the pages of this book
But I'll read it all the same
Just because I get to imagine her
And the way she was always my hero
She's not along this sunny street
But I'll walk it all the same
Just because I get to feel her
And the way she was warm, like summer
She's not in the spaces between the stars
But I'll gaze all the same
Just because I get to see her
And the way her eyes crinkled when she smiled
I always loved her smile.
I won't find her in these distractions
But I'll s

I Don't Care
I don't care, I don't care about you, or her, or him or them.
I don't care if you don't like the fact that I don't care.
I don't care if you don't love me, like me, or care about me.
I don't care if you look away or stare.
I don't care if you're around, or not.
I don't care if you're not reading this.
I don't care if you're skinny and hot.
I don't care it you're fat and ugly.
I don't care about you at all.
I don't care about any of you.
I won't even bother to look down when you fall.
I don't care because I don't care.
I don't care..
I don't care if you're sick, sad, depressed, and your life is extremely unfair.
I don't care if y

Perfectly Imperfect.
I never claimed to be perfect to anyone, about anything.
I never said I
was a perfect
poet or writer.
But I write
from my heart
and feelings.
I'm told that
makes a good
poet and writer,
anyway.
I never said I'd
be the perfect
friend. But I'm
the best I can
be. My friends
they love me
Just the way
I am. So I have
to be doing
something
right, right?
I never said I
would be the
perfect student.
Even though
I try as hard
as I can. I
never promised
good grades.
But I please
the teachers,
with what I
get...
I never said I
would be the
most perfect
daughter I
know that my
parents want
me to be. Bu
