Someday…
This day belongs to us…
This day we’ve always talked about
Will no longer have to be thought about
Cause we’ll have the answers to the questions
That right now all we can say is: Someday.

No longer will you have to ask me
“When will you propose to me?”
And I’ll no longer hate to say “Someday.”

We’ll have tea every morning and an apple a day,
Who cares what anybody has to say?
This is how our lives will be Someday.

No more will you have to question
When will our lives begin?
It’s been way too long we’ve waited for Someday.

We’ll dance to the music and kiss in the air,
Wouldn’t we travel everywhere when
This is how our lives will be Someday.

No longer will you have to wonder
Could we run away together to
This place we’ll need the strength to find Someday.

We'll learn and conform to the ways of the world
But will we find ways to change the world, because
This is how our lives will be Someday.

Someday…
That day will be today.
Where I’ll no longer hate to say
It’s been way too long we’ve waited for
This place we’ll need the strength to find that
This is how our lives will be
Cause we’ve been too-damn trapped in the cycle of
“Someday.”

Someday…
That day belongs to us.

What started as the work of a very important song ended as a poorly balanced and irritatingly confusing poem... but its the best I think I could do to this. I've been spending weeks on this poem and have been trying to figure out ways to make it consistent and graceful, but my artistic ability is still insipid... still trying to get it back.
