Jon: It has been a while…
David: Indeed.
Jon: Are you happy?
David: Quite. And you?
Jon: Same as always. You seem different, though.
David: I am.
Jon: What about him?
David: Him? Oh, he's doing fine. You won't be disappointed when you see this..
Jon: See wha—oh… would you look at that. The fool is in love.
David: Yep. So I take it you must have failed.
Jon: Yes, brother; I did.
David: What will you do now?
Jon: The only thing I can do.
David: As expected. You always did think that way.
Jon: And what of you, my friend? Have you succeeded in your own mission?
David: I don't think so.
Jon: I wonder who the real fool is.
David: Fools, with an s.
Jon: The question remains.
David: I don't have a good answer.
Jon: This huge idiot… he worries over everything…
David: And he takes everything so seriously!
Jon: Do you think he'll make it without us?
David: Me? No. But I know you do.
Jon: I have a fear—irrational, it may be—that they won't make it. One of them will give up. I don't know which it will be… but one of them will give up on the other… and then that'll be the end of us.
David: Do you think we'll return if that happens?
Jon: I suspect not. He can't resurrect the dead.
David: Yes he can. He controls the sun.
Jon: No he doesn't. He wants to… but he can't.
David: I'm voting they'll make it.
Jon: I thought you said you didn't think they will.
David: I don't.
Jon: Alright, twenty years says they won't.
David: It's a bet.
Jon: Think he'll remember?
David: Depends on who wins.
